Where Our R&D is Focused

Our active research and development programmes are transforming how we manufacture aluminium castings, CNC machined components, die castings and fabricated parts — delivering better quality, lower costs and faster lead times for our clients.

SCC Process — Semi-Solid Casting

Currently in its second phase of development, our Semi-Solid Casting (SCC) process produces aluminium components with superior density, reduced porosity and improved mechanical strength compared to conventional die casting.

DFM & Mould Flow Analysis

Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews and digital mould flow simulations are now embedded into our new product introduction (NPI) process. This catches potential defects before tooling is cut, saving clients time and tooling rework costs.

FAQ

Common Questions About Our Innovation Approach

Questions from engineering buyers and procurement teams about how Audhe Industries uses innovation to deliver better aluminium castings, CNC components and precision parts.

The Semi-Solid Casting (SCC) process involves casting aluminium alloys in a semi-solid state (between fully liquid and solid), which results in components with lower porosity, improved mechanical properties and more consistent microstructure compared to conventional liquid-state die casting. Our SCC programme is currently in its second development phase and will be available for select high-performance applications.
Yes. We regularly work with clients' engineering teams to review existing component designs and recommend changes that improve manufacturability, reduce material usage, or switch from a more expensive process (e.g. machined from billet) to a more cost-efficient one (e.g. near-net-shape casting). Send us your drawing and we'll provide a DFM review free of charge.
Yes. DFM analysis is a standard part of our new product introduction (NPI) process for all casting projects. We review wall thickness, draft angles, parting line placement, gate locations and potential shrinkage points — recommending design changes that will improve casting quality and yield before any tooling investment is made.
Our materials R&D team is currently evaluating advanced aluminium alloy formulations with higher silicon content for improved castability, modified heat treatment responses for better mechanical properties, and recycled-content alloys with equivalent performance to virgin grades. Contact us if you have a specific alloy performance requirement — we are happy to discuss feasibility.
International clients benefit through lower total landed cost (innovative processes reduce scrap and machining), faster time-to-production (DFM and simulation reduce tooling rework), and better-performing components (new alloys and SCC deliver superior properties). We also handle all export documentation — COO, COC, PPAP — making sourcing from India seamless.
Typical NPI lead times range from 4–8 weeks for gravity die casting and CNC components to 8–14 weeks for investment casting and complex multi-cavity dies — depending on design complexity. Our DFM process and in-house toolroom minimise delays. Contact us with your drawing for an accurate timeline and quote.
