Our Material Philosophy

The Right Material for Every Application

At Audhe Industries, material selection is the foundation of every component we manufacture. Whether we are producing aluminium gravity die castings, grey iron castings, investment die castings or CNC machined components, we choose the material that best matches the client's performance, weight, corrosion resistance and cost requirements.

Every material batch is verified by optical emission spectrometer (OES) to confirm chemical composition before production begins. Full material certification — including mill test certificates (MTC) and certificates of conformance (COC) — is provided with every shipment.

Selection Guide

How to Choose the Right Material

Not sure which material suits your application? Our engineers match your requirements to the best available grade — balancing performance, cost and manufacturability.

Lightweight + Good Strength?

Choose aluminium alloys — ideal for automotive, hydraulic, textile and general engineering. LM25 (A356) in T6 gives best structural strength.

  • Weight-critical applications
  • Excellent gravity and pressure die castability
  • Corrosion grades to high-strength options

High Strength + Low Cost?

Choose grey or ductile iron — the most cost-effective option for large, heavy-duty castings. FG 260 and SG 500/7 cover most automotive and industrial needs.

  • High-volume, heavy-duty parts
  • Excellent vibration damping
  • Green sand and shell mould casting

Corrosion Resistance + Hygiene?

Choose stainless steel (304, 316 or duplex) — for food, pharmaceutical, chemical and marine environments. Investment casting produces near-net-shape stainless parts.

  • 304 — general corrosion resistance
  • 316 — chloride & acid environments
  • Duplex S31803 — high strength + corrosion

Extreme Heat or Chemical Resistance?

Choose nickel-based superalloys (Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy) — for defence, aerospace, petrochemical and marine applications where stainless steel is insufficient.

  • Service temperatures up to 1000°C+
  • Excellent oxidation resistance
  • CNC machining available for all nickel grades

Ultra-Light + Biocompatible?

Choose titanium GR2 or Ti-6Al-4V — best strength-to-weight ratio of any structural metal, with full biocompatibility for medical, dental and aerospace applications.

  • 60% lighter than steel at comparable strength
  • Fully biocompatible
  • Available in plate, tube and bar forms

Lightweight Non-Metal + Low Cost?

Choose engineering plastics (PA66, POM, PTFE) — when metal is overkill. Excellent chemical resistance, low friction and easy machinability at a fraction of metal cost.

  • PA66 — wear parts, gears, bushings
  • POM — precision sliding components
  • PTFE — seals, bearings, chemical liners
Material Certification

Material FAQ

Common Questions About Our Materials

Frequently asked questions from engineers and procurement teams sourcing precision castings and CNC components from Audhe Industries.

LM4 (A319) and LM25 (A356) are most commonly specified for hydraulic components. LM4 offers excellent castability with good pressure tightness for valve bodies and manifolds. LM25 in T6 heat treatment is preferred for higher-pressure applications requiring greater mechanical strength — such as hydraulic cylinder bodies and pump housings.
Yes. We provide full material traceability including OES spectrometer analysis confirming chemical composition, and Certificates of Conformance (COC) with every shipment. For stainless steel, nickel alloy and titanium components, original mill test certificates (MTC) from certified suppliers are provided on request.
Yes. We manufacture precision investment castings in stainless steel grades (304, 316, 410, duplex S31803, super duplex S32750) and nickel-based alloys including Inconel 600, Monel 400 and Hastelloy B. Investment casting allows near-net-shape production with excellent surface finish and minimal post-machining.
LM2 (ADC12) is a high-silicon, high-copper alloy primarily used for pressure die casting — excellent fluidity and die-filling ability, moderate strength, lower elongation. LM25 (A356) is a cleaner alloy suited to gravity and sand casting — it responds well to T6 heat treatment, reaching UTS of 280MPa+, with better elongation and corrosion resistance. LM25-T6 is preferred for structural, aerospace and defence applications.
Yes. If your application requires a material grade not in our standard range, contact our engineering team with the specification. We work with certified material suppliers across India and can source and verify most ASTM, BS, DIN and IS standard alloys. OES verification is performed on all non-standard materials before production.
Yes. We offer T6 solution treatment and artificial ageing for LM25 (A356) aluminium castings, and annealing for iron castings where required. Heat treatment records and hardness test results are included in our QC documentation. Other alloy heat treatments are handled by certified partners with full time-temperature records.
